Mennonite Home Health & Senior Services, Bluffton, has received a deficiency-free survey from the Ohio Department of Health, according to Jason Cox of Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio.
“One of the highest confirmations of quality service is for a Home Health agency to receive a deficiency-free survey from the Ohio Department of Health,” he said.
“We are pleased to have accomplished this on the 2021 state survey, which took place in May.”
Teresa Lewallen, director of Mennonite Home Health & Senior Services, said, “Survey time is always stressful, however it helps to keep us focused on our goal which is to provide the best care that we can for our patients.
“We look forward to continuing to serve our community in this way. I would like to thank our team for their continued commitment to quality care.”
The survey is conducted annually by the Ohio Department of Health and includes a checklist of areas and categories to examine. Some of the categories include meeting with clients, reviewing medical records and observing care.
Ultimately, the survey evaluates the overall quality of care of the agency to ensure it is operating by the Department of Health’s standards.
