Dean Falk retired after 34 years at Ford
Harold Dean Falk, 86, died Friday, June 18, 2021 at The Meadows of Delphos. Dean was born in Mt. Cory, Ohio, on Nov. 15, 1934, to the late William Donald “Bus” Falk and Edna Rae (Frantz) Falk. He married Carol Mathewson and was later married to Janice Stoddard.
Dean worked at Lima Ford Engine Plant in Lima for 34 years as an assembly line worker, a foreman, general foreman and finished as a superintendent. He enjoyed attending his kids and grandkids sporting events, woodworking, collecting/refinishing antiques, boating/fishing on Lake Erie and bird watching.
Survivors include four children, Mike (Eileen) Falk, Tom (Susan) Falk, Tina Benjamin, Mark (Karen) Falk; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Falk; a brother, Butch Falk; a sister, Marcene Lentz,10 grandchildren, Adriane Falk, Jacob Hudson, Brandon Falk, Dustin Falk, Emily Falk, Michael Falk, Tyler Benjamin, Matt Watkins, Joshua Falk, Brianna Atkins and 10 great-grandchildren.
Dean was preceded in death by his son Tim Falk, his wife Janice Falk and a brother, Billy Falk.
A private family service will be held at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
