Lady Pirate netters earn 1st win

Visiting Bluffton defeated Kenton 4-1 in a girls tennis match Thursday evening.

The Lady Pirate netters improved their record to 1-2 with their first victory of the season.

Bluffton sophomore Brooke Camper defeated Wildcat senior Grace Collins at first singles 6-2, 6-1.

Pirate sophomore Caitlyn Couch also won a straight-sets match over Emma Mulligan at second singles by a 6-2, 6-4 score.

Pirate seniors Ellie Nickel and Libby Frazier swept to a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles.

Sophomore Leah Klingler and freshman Genevieve Gatchel triumphed 7-6, 6-0 at second doubles.

Bluffton plays in the Lima City Invitational Saturday, August 14. The Pirates then host Defiance Aug. 17.
