Nov. 4-7 performances of Failure: A Love Story

Bluffton University Theatre will present the play “Failure: A Love Story” by Philip Dawkins from Nov. 4-7. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. November 4-6, and at 2:30 p.m. on November 7 in Ramseyer Auditorium in College Hall. Dr. Melissa Friesen, professor of theatre and communication, will direct the show.

In the play, colorful characters and a whimsical chorus tell the story of three sisters, their brother and an ardent suitor living above the family clock repair shop near the Chicago River, before their time unexpectedly runs out in 1928. A magical, tender fable where, in the end, the power of love is far greater than any individual’s successes or failures.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for senior citizens, Bluffton University faculty and staff, non-Bluffton University students. Bluffton University students will have free admission. Purchase tickets at www.bluffton.edu/tickets. Masks are required, and socially distanced seating is available for the November 5 and 7 performances.
