P-G boys game rescheduled; seeded #4 in Division IV Elida District

The Pandora-Gilboa High School boys basketball team (7-0 BVC, 4-1 PCL, 12-6) had their highly anticipated Blanchard Valley Conference match-up against Liberty-Benton (6-1 BVC, 14-4) postponed Friday night, February 4, due to the weather. The make-up date is Saturday, Feb. 19 at Pandora, with a JV tip-off at 6 p.m., for these two teams that are currently top ranked in the BVC.  

The Rockets will next be in action on February 11 and 12. They will first travel to McComb (4-3 BVC, 7-12) to take on the Panthers in BVC action.  Then one night later they will travel west to Fort Jennings (1-4 PCL, 5-15) to battle the Musketeers in Putnam County League action, looking to remain tied atop the PCL standings.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association Boys Basketball 2022 tournament seedings took place on February 6, with P-G earning the #4 seed in the Division IV Elida District.  P-G’s first tournament game will be February 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the Van Wert Sectional, where the Rockets will play their semi-final match-up against fellow PCL rival, #5 Miller City.  

The Sectional Semi-final match-up will take place at Van Wert High School, with the winner returning to the same location three nights later at 7:30 p.m. for the sectional final game against the #6 Ottoville-#11 Continental winner.
