Columbus Grove HS adds competitive winter guard team
Columbus Grove High School has formed a winter guard team and competed in the Ohio Indoor Performance Association (OIPA) circut for the first time. Winter guard is an indoor competitive activity with routines combining dance, spinning flags, sabres and rifles.
The Columbus Grove High School Winterguard is under the direction of Justina Fuqua-Black and assistant director Maddy Ditto.
The Columbus Grove winter guard competed in the Novice Class, a class designed for units in their early stages of development. The season concluded on Saturday, April 2 at OIPA State Championships held at Wapakoneta High School. Columbus Grove High School competed and placed third with a score of 85.4, bringing home bronze at finals.
