Citizens National Bank a top performer "ICBA 400" - Ranking credits bank's efficiency

ICBA Independent Banker, the national magazine of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) recognized Citizens National Bank for posting one of the best year-end earnings in 2009 for ICBA member community banks with more than $500 million in assets.

This year's "ICBA 400" highlights the 20 top community bank performers based on two standard banking industry efficiency measures, five bank asset categories and two bank tax-status categories.

The magazine compiles its annual member rankings in its June issue from year-end FDIC call report data.

Northwest Physical Therapy free back pain seminar July 28

Northwest Physical Therapy's Bluffton office will provide a free seminar titled, "Back Pain - What Causes It and What Can Be Done to Help."

The seminar will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, at Northwest Physical Therapy's Bluffton office, 215 Snider Road (behind the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool and in the Bluffton Family Recreation building). The seminar will be presented by Sara Dishong, physical therapist.

Alzheimer's care group meets third Monday of each month at MMH

The Alzheimer's Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter, invites anyone who has a family member or friend with memory loss to attend a caregiver group meeting.

The following information concerns the Bluffton caregiver group:

It meets the third Monday of every month at 3:30 p.m., in the Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 West Elm (conference room). The group's facilitators are Tricia Herrman and Emily Koogler.

7th-8th grade volleyball open gym schedule set

Open gym for seventh and eighth grade girls interested in playing middle school volleyball has been announced.

The first open gym is Tuesday July 13 - 5:30-7 p.m.

Thursday July 15 - 5:30 - 7 p.m.

Tuesday July 20 - 5:30-7 p.m.

Thursday July 22 - 5:30-7 p.m.

The Middle School Volleyball Camp in MS Gym is Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 26, 27, 28 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

The "other" Woods Hole

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the summer-vacationing side of Woods Hole, the tiny Cape Cod town I've been enjoying since the first of June. And it really is an ideal vacation spot, with gorgeous weather this year being a big plus. But now it's time to tell you about the unique place that Woods Hole presents to the scientific community.
