COLUMBUS, Ohio--The Bluffton High School track and field team had nine representatives  compete in the Div. III state meet June 3 and 4 in Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus.  

The Pirate boys finished a strong fourth in the Div. III team standings. Norwayne won with 40 points, followed by McDonald (38), Hopewell-Loudon (31) and Bluffton (29).

Senior Ethan Bogart finished third in the 300-meter hurdle finals after taking first in the preliminary heats.

Bluffton junior Landon Armstrong came in fourth in the 800-meter run, while classmate Eden Antrim finished fifth in the 1600 meters.

The Bluffton 4x400 relay foursome of Bogart, Armstrong, junior Justin Good and Antrim took second in both the preliminary and final races.

Junior Bri Taber finished eighth in the girls pole vault.

Senior Trey Boblitt ended up 12th in the high jump.  

The Pirate 4x800 relay quartet of Antrim, Erik Nygaard, sophomore Landon Novak and Armstrong ended up third.

Junior Erik Nygaard crossed the line 10th in the 3200-meter race, while sophomore Hayden Dearth ended up 17th in the long jump.

Colonel Crawford edged Margaretta and Minster to capture the girls Div. III team title.
