The Village of Bluffton has schedulded a Parks & Recreation Committee meeting on Thursday, October 10 at 1:00 p.m.  

The meeting will be at Bluffton Town Hall, 154 N. Main.

October 24 blood drive held by Bluffton student nurses

10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, Sommer Center of Bluffton University campus

The Bluffton Student Nurses Organization (BSNO) at Bluffton University is partnering with the Red Cross to host a blood drive on October 24.

"Please join our lifesaving mission and schedule an appointment today! The need for blood is constant and only donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community.

Informational sessions on Safety Services ballot issue

Have questions about Bluffton's Safety Services ballot issue? The November 5 General Election will ask Bluffton voters if they support a 0.4% income tax increase for funding Bluffton EMS, Fire and Police departments. Informational sessions will be held at Town Hall at 6:00 p.m. on October 14 and 28.

Pirate volleyball sweeps Columbus Grove

COLUMBUS GROVE - The visiting Bluffton High School volleyball team swept Northwest Conference rival Columbus Grove on October 8 to finish in sole possession of second place in the final league standings.

The Pirates improved to 18-3 overall and finished 6-1 in the NWC after the convincing 25-21, 25-17, 25-19 victory. The Bluffton spikers won for the 17th time in 19 matches. 

Grove dropped to 8-12 overall and finished 4-3 in NWC play with the defeat to finish fourth in the eight-team league.

Pirate girls soccer defeats Liberty Center

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton High School girls soccer team dominated visiting non-conference foe Liberty Center 7-1 Tuesday, October 8, at Steinmetz Field.  

The Pirate record improved to 10-4-1 after the convincing win. 

LC dropped to 7-7-1 after the lopsided loss.

Bluffton led 4-0 at halftime, and stretched the lead to 7-0 in the second half before giving up a goal with 13 minutes remaining to play.
