Bluffton boys soccer shut out by Perrysburg

The Bluffton High School boys soccer squad lost at perennial power Perrysburg 4-0 on Thursday evening, September 1.
The Pirates fell to 1-3 with the non-league defeat. The undefeated Yellow Jackets improved to 5-0-1 with the win.
Perrysburg's Bennett Geisler scored the only goal of the first half at the 14:48 mark. The hosts doubled the lead to 2-0 on a score at the 54:28 mark. Almost 17 minutes later, Perrysburg junior Alexander Diaz put the game out of reach at 3-0. Yellow Jacket Keegan Motter added a final goal with 52 seconds remaining to provide the final margin.
The Pirates got off two shots, both on goal, which were each stopped. Bluffton keeper Kyle Basil made 12 saves on the 16 Perrysburg shots.
The tough schedule continues for Bluffton when they host unbeaten Ottoville (5-0) Saturday, September 3 at 11:45 a.m.
