Mornings with Mommy at Trinity Lutheran Church
Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, has issued the following invitations for programs for young children and their caregivers:
Mornings with Mommy is a fun and easy way to enjoy activities with your infant through kindergarten age children (ages 0-6 years) and meet other moms. Dads, Grandmas, Grandpas, and Nannies are welcome, too!
These educational play dates for 2023 will begin on January 16 and 17 and continue on the first and third Monday and Tuesday of each month from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
If 9:30 a.m. is too early for you, a second session is offered on Mondays from 11:00-12:00 a.m. Advance registration is required online at www.tlcjenera.org or by calling 262-391-7994. The cost is $5 per family (not per child) per session. Payment may be made by cash or check. You join the waiting list if a session is listed as full–there are sometimes several cancellations.
There will be age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergartners. Moms can mingle with each other and enjoy activities with their children. Each session will have its own theme, but the basic format begins with a devotion, language and literacy activities (stories, flannel board and songs). There will be arts and crafts, sensory activities, gross and fine motor skills and an infant area. Moms and children may explore these activities at their own pace. When the session ends, a snack will be served. Your child may enjoy it at Mornings with Mommy or take it to go.
Dates and themes:
January 16 or 17: Moon, Stars and Night-Time
February 6 or 7: Red, Hearts, and Valentine’s Day
February 20 or 21: Colors and Shapes
