Don R. Klingler worked for Ford Motor Company
Don R. Klingler, 82, passed away May 6, 2023 at Willow Ridge-Betty House.
Don was born December 23, 1940 in Orange Township, Bluffton, to Columbus and Mildred (Stratton) Klingler who preceded him in death. He later married Nancy (Mericle) Klingler who survives.
Don was a graduate of Cory-Rawson High School and attended First United Methodist Church. He retired as an electrician at Ford Motor Company, where he dedicated 47 years of work.
He was a Vietnam Marine Corps Veteran, member of the Bluffton American Legion and member of the Bluffton Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed farming, gardening and wood carving. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Klingler of Bluffton; three children, Katherine (Kurt) Ramsey of Powell, OH, Kerri (Ryan) Kloeppel of Columbus Grove, and Kent (Tara) Klingler of Worthington, OH; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his four siblings, Dorothy Klingler, Gladys Cupples, Jean Powell and Jim Scott.
Services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton with Pastor Bob Clinger to officiate the service. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 10, 2023, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio.
