Ilo R. Martin worked for Pandora Schools
Ilo R. Martin, 90, passed away May 7, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center of Findlay.
Ilo was born April 29, 1933 in Pandora, to Harry and Caroline (Schumacher) VanScoder who preceded her in death. On March 15, 1952 she married Donald 'Don' R. Martin who survives.
She was a 1951 graduate of Pandora High School and a member of the Pandora United Methodist Church. She worked in the cafeteria of Pandora Schools for 25 years and was a volunteer at V.O.S.H. for over 10 years. She liked to knit, sew, and crochet; and was an amazing cook. She loved to travel with her husband Don; she especially enjoyed their trip to Alaska.
She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Donald 'Don' R. Martin of Pandora; two children, Thomas 'Tom' (Cheryl) Martin of Bluffton and Leeann (John) Green of Pandora; a son-in-law, Mark Watkins of Pandora; four grandchildren, Sara (Jon) Perkins, Jason (Lauren) Martin, Bradley Watkins, and Nicole (Noel) Canlas; four great-grandchildren, Landon and Grayson Perkins, Lena Martin, and Henry Canlas; and a sister, Jean Anspaugh.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Watkins; and three siblings, Harold "Skeet" VanScoder, Helen Balister, and Katheryn Fruchey.
Services will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Pandora United Methodist Church with Rev. Ruth Carter-Crist to officiate the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
