Bluffton girls volleyball victory vs. Elida

The Bluffton High School volleyball team pulled away late to beat visiting Elida in four sets Tuesday evening, August 29.

Bluffton triumphed by a 25-18, 24-26, 25-15, 25-17 score.

The Pirate girls improved to 4-2 after the non-league victory.

Ayla Grandey hammered a career-high 21 kills to pace the Pirate attack.  She also served a pair of aces.

Karlie Lora contributed 14 kills and three blocks, while Kendall Stackhouse drilled 13 kills.

Morgan Fruchey hustled up 14 digs and served three aces. Vanessa Cross added 10 digs.

Gracie Yarnell passed out 35 assists, while Olivia Hobensack doled out 11 helpers

Avery Talavinia mustered 17 digs, and Yarnell served four aces.

Olivia Siferd served two aces.

The Bluffton junior varsity swept Elida, 2-0. 

Bluffton plays at Defiance Ayersville on Thursday, August 31.
