Pirate volleyball sweeps Defiance Ayersville

The Bluffton varsity volleyball team went on the road and swept Defiance Ayersville in three sets Thursday evening, August 31.
Bluffton grounded the Pilot girls in the non-league bout by a 25-17, 25-22, 25-17 score.
The Lady Pirates improved to 5-2 after the convincing victory.
Junior Ayla Grandey drilled 18 kills to pace the Pirate offensive attack. She also served a pair of aces.
Stackhouse hammered 15 kills and made one block.
Gracie Yarnell passed out 21 assists and made 15 digs while serving one ace. Olivia Hobensack passed out 15 assists.
Avery Talavinia hustled up 25 digs, and Vanessa Cross came up with 14 digs. Morgan Fruchey contributed 10 digs and one block.
The Bluffton junior varsity lost to the Pilots, 2-1.
