Pirate volleyball sweeps Patriots

The Bluffton High School volleyball team swept Patrick Henry in a non-conference road match Monday evening, October 2.
The Pirates won 25-18, 25-23, 25-16 to improve to 14-4 overall and snap a two-match losing skid.
Patrick Henry fell to 8-8 with the defeat.
Junior Ayla Grandey led the Pirates by smashing 18 kills and coming up with two blocks.
Kendall Stackhouse knocked down 13 kills. Freshman Karlie Lora hammered 10 kills.
Setter Gracie Yarnell dished out 41 assists.
Morgan Fruchey came up with 15 digs and made two blocks.
Libero Avery Talavinia mustered 18 digs. Olivia Hobensack served up three aces.
The Bluffton reserves lost to PH, 2-1.
The Pirates (3-2 NWC) resume league play by hosting Lincolnview (10-7, 3-2 NWC) Tuesday night. The Lancers and Bluffton are in a three-way tie for third with Allen East.
Crestview is first at 6-0, while Leipsic (4-1) is second.
