Shelly K. Guthrie worked at Pandora-Gilboa Local Schools
Shelly K. Guthrie, 56, passed away October 29, 2023, at St. Rita's Hospital.
Shelly was born January 14, 1967 in Bluffton to Keith and Eileen (Wagner) Klingler who survive. On July 23, 1988 she married Steven Guthrie who also survives.
Shelly was a 1986 graduate of Bluffton High School and was a member of St. John's Bible Church in Pandora. She dedicated 19 years to Pandora-Gilboa Local Schools, most recently as the Central Office Director. She was a breast cancer survivor and an organ donor. She enjoyed making Shutterfly books, reading, traveling, landscaping, crocheting, digitally capturing all of life’s beauty, and decorating her home. She loved the home she spent 27 years perfecting but when she wasn’t there, she loved being by the water. She especially enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She selflessly took care of her loved ones. Above all, she loved her simple life.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Guthrie; two daughters, Paige (Daniel) Miles of Pandora and Jordan Guthrie of New York, NY, grandchildren, Willow and Mason Miles; parents, Keith and Eileen Klingler; a twin sister, Kelly (Ron) Craft of Piqua; brother, Michael (Pam) Klingler of Bluffton; and nieces and nephews, Alea and Isaac Leganik and Laura, Brooke and Nate Craft of Piqua.
A memorial visitation will take place Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services-Bluffton. A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
