For November 2023, the Bluffton Police Department reported the following activity including call totals and descriptions of specific events:

November 1
Officers responded to a car dealership in the 200 block of Cherry Street in reference to an attempted theft of a motor vehicle resulting in criminal damage. Officers were notified by the complainant that security cameras alerted them of movement on their property. When the complainant viewed the live video, they observed two subjects attempting to break into a vehicle. An alarm sounded and the subjects fled the area. The case is still under investigation.

November 10
Officers issued a Lima resident a citation for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of South Main Street near Kibler Street. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.

November 11
Officers responded to the Fairway Inn for a domestic violence complaint. A male subject was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center for a psychological evaluation and charges were sent to the Findlay City Prosecutor’s Office for review.

November 14
Officers received a report of domestic violence from a Louise Circle resident. Officers investigated the complaint and also issued a domestic violence protection order against the suspect and stood by while they vacated from the residence.

November 16
Officers took property in from a Bluffton residence for a possible receiving stolen property/theft complaint.

November 28
Officers responded to Bluffton University in reference to a theft complaint.

Officers received an identity theft complaint from a Bluffton resident.
