“Journey of an Afrofuturist” featured at English Festival Forum
Maurice Broaddus, a writer, community organizer and teacher, will share, “Journey of an Afrofuturist,” during Bluffton’s English Festival Forum at 11 a.m. on Feb. 27 in Yoder Recital Hall.
During the event, the award-winning, science-fiction writer will describe what Afrofuturism looks like alongside communities imaging the future together.
Now in its 39th year, the Bluffton University English Festival offers high school students a day of immersion in the pleasures of writing, reading and hearing fine literature. Each year, the Bluffton English department invites a distinguished author to Bluffton’s campus as the featured speaker.
This event is free and open to the public. Forum at Bluffton University provides a public space for interdisciplinary discovery about the personal, local and global challenges faced by students, faculty, staff and the Bluffton community.
