ADA __ The Bluffton High School boys and girls track and field teams each came home with first-place team hardware at the 17-team Ada Invitational meet Saturday in War Memorial Stadium.
Seventeen schools competed in the annual event, one of the longest continuously-held meets in the state.
Bluffton swept both the boys and girls team titles at the meet by comfortable margins. Van Wert came in second in the boys and girls team standings.
Pirate junior speedster Griffin Stackhouse won the 100-meter dash as well as crossing the line first in the 200 meters.
Freshman Nora Matthews won the girls 1600-meter run. Sophomore Aubrey Burkholder took second in both the 100 and 300-meter hurdle races.
