One year later, community commemorates Officer Dominic Francis

March 31, 2023 is the one year anniversary of the line of duty death of Bluffton Police Officer Dominic Francis. The wreath pictured here is placed in front of Town Hall, 154 N. Main St., where the public is invited to visit and remember the contributions and character of this Bluffton first responder and Cory-Rawson teacher and coach. Stay tuned for coverage of the March 31 First Responders Breakfast at Bluffton Middle School.

Register for BFR 3v3 basketball by April 2

Bluffton Family Recreation will host adult 3v3 basketball competition on Sundays April 16-May 14 with a tournament on May 21.

DIVISIONS
Adult 18 years+ Men & Coed divisions, two games per week.

BACC Trivia night has been cancelled

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that due to the low number of registered teams, the Wine Tasting and Trivia Night at Southgate Lanes origianlly scheduled for April 1 has been cancelled.

Jane E. Funk worked for Chase Bank

Jane E. Funk, 79, passed away March 29, 2023 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.  Jane was born January 9, 1944 in Allen County, Ohio to the late Donald and Thelma (Myers) O'Neil.  On July 12, 1964 she married Glen Funk who preceded her in death on July 29, 2009.

Pirate softball downs Vanlue

VANLUE–Visiting Bluffton High School won a non-league softball game at Vanlue 9-6 Wednesday night, March 29.

The Pirates are 1-0, while the Wildcats are 0-1.

Pirate baseball tames North Baltimore

The Bluffton boys baseball team defeated visiting North Baltimore 15-2 in the season opener Monday evening.

The Pirates jumped in front 2-0 after the first inning. The hosts then blew the game open with a seven-run second frame.
