Mothing event invitation for August 24
SATURDAY, AUGUST 24

Bluffton University Nature Preserve on Augsburger Rd. near Bentley Rd.
Bluffton University will host a fun and free event with nighttime education for the community. Dr. Jacob Buchanan, M’Della Moon endowed chair in Botany and Environmental Science, and Tim Kleman, program specialist with the Hancock Park District, will educate the community on moths.
This event will be held from 9 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Bluffton University Nature Preserve. The Nature Preserve is located at the northwest edge of Bluffton University’s campus on Augsburger Road.
The event will help educate the community on moths and characterize the diversity of the Nature Preserve. No experience with moths is needed. Those interested in attending should dress appropriately for the weather, bring a flashlight and smartphone with the iNaturalist app downloaded.
