Bluffton HS volleyball grounds Rockets

PANDORA __ On August 20, the visiting Bluffton High School volleyball team rallied to beat Pandora-Gilboa in four sets.
The Pirates dropped the opening set 25-19, but came back to win the final three games 25-20, 28-26 and 25-14 to post the victory.
The non-league victory upped the Pirate record to 2-1. P-G fell to 1-1.
Ayla Grandey led Bluffton with 15 kills to spearhead the varied offensive attack.
Kendall Stackhouse knocked down a dozen kills, and Karlie Lora contributed nine kills. Libby Hocanson also slammed eight kills.
Lora contributed 13 digs, four blocks and one ace.
Gracie Yarnell doled out a season-high 42 assists. She mustered nine digs and made three blocks.
Avery Talavinia led the defense with 23 digs, while Vanessa Cross added eight digs.
Faith Combs and Hocanson each came up with three blocks.
The Pirate girls won the JV match 2-1, and they also won the freshman tilt 2-0.
Bluffton hosts Miller City and Riverdale in a non-league tri-match Saturday morning, August 24.
