Beavers men's golf preview for 2024-25

The Bluffton University men's golf team will have a different look when it hits the course in 2024-25. Gone are all-time greats Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) and Hunter Jolliff (Elida) who have played an integral part in pushing Bluffton into the upper echelon of the Heartland Conference. The 299 for 18 holes and 609 for 36 holes at the 2023 Beaver Fall Invitational were 2nd all-time, while the 923 at the HCAC Championships shattered the 54-hole mark by 20 strokes!

Returning for his final season with the Beavers is Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) who averaged an 81.39 as a junior. His even-par 71 at Olivet is a top 10 score all-time for 18 holes!

Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) dropped two strokes off his season average from 2022-23 to 2023-24 and his three-straight 83's helped the Beavers to a 5th place finish at the HCAC Championships. He fired a career-low 159 thanks to rounds of 81 and 78 at the Polar Beaver Invite in April.

Also back for Bluffton is sophomore Carson Brubaker (Shelby) who cut his collegiate teeth in 2023-24. Brubaker was sub-80 in three of his final four rounds en route to a season scoring average of 84.35.

Interim Head Coach Clay Quellhorst added six freshmen and a sophomore transfer to the squad for 2024-25 so competition will be at an all-time high as the players battle to earn varsity playing time this season with 10 men on the team!

The centerpiece of the fall schedule is the annual Beaver Fall Classic which will play out on Homecoming Weekend, October 5-6.
