Trinity Lutheran School, 105 Allen Street, Jenera, will host an open house from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8. There will be food and games as well as an opportunity to tour the school and meet the teachers and staff. 

Enrollment is now open for pre-school through 8th grade for the 2022-2023 school year. Pre-school (3 and 4 year olds) meets half days on Tuesday and Thursday. Pre-Kindergarten (4 and 5 year olds) meets full days on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The 2021 Cash Basis Annual Financial Report for the Village of Bluffton has been completed and filed with the Auditor of State. 

A copy of this report is available for public inspection at the Village Town Hall 154 N. Main St., Monday thru Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

On September 27, 1988, the Swedish pop duo Roxette released their single Listen to Your Heart.  The song hit the #1 spot on the Billboard music charts in both the United States and Canada in November of 1989. In 2005, the Belgian dance group DHT covered the song for release as an international club hit.  In 2020, ABC released a version of the Bachelor in Paradise that was titled, Listen to Your Heart.  Although these art forms are talking about love and relationships, it is very good advice for our overall heart health as well!

On the 15th anniversary of the Bluffton University baseball team’s bus accident, more than 100 members of the Bluffton University community gathered to remember and reflect on the events of March 2, 2007, and the lives lost in Atlanta, Ga.

The ceremony was held at Bluffton’s Circle of Remembrance with President Jane Wood welcoming guests.

“I have heard so much about the special bond held by the team of 2007,” said President Wood. “The impact of that bond is still felt today. The spirits of David, Scott, Cody, Tyler and Zachary are still with us today.”

Et Cetera Thrift Shop, 327 N. Main, held a fundraiser on Monday, February 28 with all shopping proceeds for the day and donations made specifically for this purpose going to the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Ukraine Emergency Response. Shop manager Chrissy Lugibihl reports that the store sent over $3,000 to MCC.
