Many of you know Connie Miller (http://conniemillerforohio.victorydiy.com/), or have been hearing her name this election season.

Connie has agreed to come to Bluffton and we are hosting her at an event at the Bluffton Town Hall on Thursday, October 21 at 7:00 pm.

Hassan Mosoka - Bluffton University's first international graduate student

As Bluffton University's first international graduate student, Hassan Mosoka (Ha-san Mo-SO-ka) brings a whole new world to this American culture, a world where community is so prominent that birthdays are not celebrated individually, a world where mothers call their children by one name and their fathers by another, and a world where favorites are a foreign concept.

The replacement bridge spanning Riley Creek at Spring Street is beginning to take shape. The bridge spans were put in place on Friday. Cross beams are being placed next. If you look closely, the new bridge has an interesting resemblance to the older one.

Women's Entrepreneurial Network (WEN), an organization open to women and men, will hold a networking event at 11:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 18, at Jeanne's Kitchen, Vine Street.

A meeting follows over lunch from noon to 1 p.m. An $8 lunch is available for persons attending. WEN is all about helping women and men grow their businesses and their careers. More information is available by contacting Linda Everhardt-Kardux, 419-678-2661.
