Bluffton University will offer two mathematics workshops for middle and high school math teachers and intervention specialists Aug. 10-12.
Marilyn Link of Coldwater, will teach "Become a Master Teacher in Middle School Geometry Topics," while Duane Bollenbacher, an adjunct Bluffton faculty member, will be the instructor for "205 Things that Every High School Mathematics Teacher, Especially Younger Ones, Should Know."
Work continues on the Bluffton Hospital project. Here are construction plans for next week. Don Snyder Excavating has been working on site preparation on the north east corner of the hospital extending into what was the parking lot off of Harmon Road.
Charles Construction Services will begin pouring footers for the new Emergency Department. After footers are in place, they will begin forming walls for the structure.

An opportunity for persons in the community who need unemployment assistance is planned at 10 a.m., Friday, July 23, at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center.
The event is being organized by Mark Neddean of Vance Street Apartments. According to the senior citizens newsletter, the event is to help those affected by recent or long-term unemployment.
You moved to the Bluffton school district from Cory-Rawson. What grade was that? Was it difficult to change schools?
We moved in the summer of 1965 after my brother graduated from C-R and just before my freshman year. It was kind of scary moving away from my C-R friends, but being in the band introduced me to lots of kids pretty fast. In my recollection, I believe I blended in right away. My classmates may remember it differently though.
