Lima Symphony to bring music storytime to Bluffton

At 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, the Lima Symphony Orchestra will brings its popular Symphony Storytime to the Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main St. The program, “Dancing in the Snow,” brings music, dancing, and favorite winter-themed books together into an interactive, educational storytime. 

Children and their families are invited to this free program sponsored by area businesses. Classic and new children’s books will be featured, including The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats, The Snow Dancer by Addie Boswell, illustrated by Merce López, and The Snowman Waltz by Karen Konnerth, illustrated by Emily Neilson.

PHOTO Finding Langan Family Finds

A loaf of "everything" bread brought the Icon to discover Langan Family Finds, the 107 Vine St. retail outlet for a multi-talented local family. You'll find cake pops, freshly baked bread, hot chocolate bombs and cuddly crocheted items in the shop, which will be among 23 stops on the February 8 Bluffton Chocolate Walk. P-G boys basketball tops Grove in overtime

The Pandora-Gilboa High School boy’s basketball team hit the road Tuesday evening Feb. 6 for a Putnam County League match-up against State Route 12 rival Columbus Grove. In overtime the Rockets pulled away for a tough 55-48 win.

Albrecht gallery will showcase senior students

Bluffton University's 56th annual juried student exhibit closes Friday, February 9.

Four senior artists from Bluffton University are showcasing their most prominent work in the Grace Albrecht Gallery of Sauder Visual Art Center. Titled, “Reflections,” the exhibit opens Feb. 19 and runs through March 22.

Students with work on display include Kelly Bilen, an art major from Archbold, Ohio; Jenía Freewalt, an art education major from Delphos, Ohio; Adrianny Ruiz Suarez, a pre-art therapy major from Columbus, Ohio; and Amanda Scott, an art major from Millbury, Ohio.
