Jonathan Luginbill and his father, Doug, are experiencing a role reversal. Their switch didn't happen instantly or overnight, courtesy of some supernatural, made-for-the-movies phenomenon. This one was 32 years in the making.

Karel Oxley Bluffton commencement speaker

Karel Oxley, superintendent of Lima City Schools, will be the Bluffton University commencement speaker on Sunday, May 6. The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. in Salzman Stadium.

In her speech, titled "The Greatest Gift ...," Oxley is scheduled to discuss giving one's self to the community.

Personal records highlighted the day as the Bluffton men's and women's track and field team competed at the Sparky Adams Invite hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College on Saturday, April 21, 2012. The meet served as a final tune-up as the team prepares for the HCAC Championships next week.

On a cold and blustery day, the Bluffton baseball team came up short, 6-3, against Mount St. Joseph on Sunday, April 22. With the defeat, the Beavers dipped to 15-18 overall (8-10 HCAC) after taking only one in the three-game series. MSJ improved to 11-20 (4-14 HCAC).
