BCE launches Talk Back sessions in January

Do you have a great idea for a business venture, but aren’t certain where to begin?

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs wants to help people who have business start-up ideas to get those ideas off the ground.

To help launch those ideas and to generate interest in the 2018 Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition, BCE launches a weekly “Talk Back” series.

“It’s where business owners and other professionals meet and lead question and answer sessions about starting and maintaining a small business,” said Eric Berdin, BCE director.

Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce reminds Bluffton shoppers that chamber gift certificates make great Christmas gifts.

Chamber gift certificates are available from any Citizens National Bank teller. Certificates may be purchased in any dollar amount. The certificates are good for 12 months from the date of purchase.

The certificates may be used in any Bluffton chamber business. Click here for the membership directory.

Delay at the publishing house - book expected in January; pre-sale orders still available

“Everyone who pre-orders a book as a Christmas gift will receive a card stating the book is on its way after Christmas,” said Steiner. “That way, the gift-giver has something to present on Christmas morning.”

Production issues have delayed the printing of the Icon’s book “The Bluffton We Never Knew,” according to Fred Steiner.

It's New Leaf all decked out for the holidays

One of Ada's "must-see" business displays is indoors.

It's at New Leaf Lawn Garden Center, 0395 State Route 235, Ada. The retail area is transformed into a winter wonderland of holiday decorations.

This year the New Leaf staff created a charming holiday feeling in the store. And, of course, their decorating ideas are for customers to purchase and place in their own homes.

The Icon shares several photos for viewers, plus a short video.
