This week Mustard Seed Café, 562 N. Main St., Bluffton, announces new hours. During the week the café will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closed Tuesdays). On Saturday and Sunday, hours will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 21, a new fall menu will be offered, including fresh autumn produce, old favorites and the signature house-made baked goods.
In October Mustard Seed will open for dinner. Watch for Friday and Saturday evening hours.
Area residents and businesses are invited to the Customer Appreciation Day celebration on Friday, Sept. 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Bluffton office located at 102 S. Main St. Free pulled pork sandwiches, brats, chips and cookies will be served. Attendees may also enter to win a grand prize tailgate package.
The celebration is a way for Citizens National Bank to thank its customers for their contribution to the bank's success.
Bluffton’s Main Street meat market, bakery and deli, The Dough Hook, has new owners, but, as they say, “It’s all in the family.”
Sharon and John Calvelage retired at the end of August and the new owners are their daughter and son-in-law, Marlena and Shawn Ballinger. The Calvelages took over the shop in October 2008.
Polished, 417 N. Main St., Bluffton has a "free Saturday," on Sept. 7, according Joan Frederick. "This gives customers a chance to get time to try tanning for free," she said.
The free Saturday is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
