Blanchard Valley Health System’s Corporate Public Relations & Marketing Department has been named the winner of three 2013 Telly Awards in the 34th Annual Telly Awards competition.

BVHS received two Bronze Telly Awards for television commercials featuring Birchaven Village and Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH) orthopedic services, as well as a Bronze People’s Telly Award for the BVH orthopedic services television commercial.

One of the downtown Bluffton attractions over the weekend was the annual Shannon Theatre movie poster sale.

Mustard Seed Café, 562 N. Main St., Bluffton, will celebrate fathers on Saturday, June 15, from 5-8 p.m. with a special menu including New York strip steak, petite bacon-wrapped filet, shrimp scampi and seared chicken salad. 

Dads will be offered a free dessert.  Reservations for Saturday night are suggested and can be made by calling 567-226-1120 during regular business hours, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.  

The café will offer its regular menu on Sunday, June 16 - no reservations needed.

Bluffton resident Rebekah Gambrell’s idea of a woman-owned aviation maintenance business is the winner of Bluffton Center for Entrepreneur’s Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition, according to Denise Durenberger, BCE director.

Gambrel, who has a background in avionics, will receive $5,000 towards business start-up costs and a one-year BCE client program membership. She intends to launch Gildeslope Aviation, which will service the northwest Ohio avionics market.
