The chat is open to members and friends of WELD Northwest Ohio E-Chapter.

NW Ohio E-Chapter membership is $50 for 12 months. The organization helps members build relationships with other professional women looking to be better advocates for themselves and others.

West Ohio Food Bank named Non-Profit of the Year

The West Ohio Food Bank was named the winner of the Lima Allen County  Chamber of Commerce’s Non-Profit of the Year Award at the masquerade ball and ceremony held on May 3. 

The West Ohio Food Bank becomes only the third non-profit to win the award twice, (2016, 2022) joining Lima Allen Council on Community Affairs (1998, 2014) and the Allen County Council on Aging (2006, 2013). 

The three finalists for this year’s Non-Profit of the Year Award were Crossroads Crisis Center, Inc.,  Cornerstone of Hope Lima, and West Ohio Food Bank.

Southgate Lanes reopens June 7

Southgate Lanes, 9700 Dixie Hwy., celebrated a "closing" weekend on April 29 and 30 with a Bluffton Family Recreation cornhole tournament, live music by Next to Nothing and a karaoke competition. That is to say, the bowling alley will be closed until June 7.

The inaugural Bluffton’s Got Talent competition crowned Kyle Roby as champion on May 30. Roby made it through all three rounds, performing "classic jingle from the Backstreet Boys" in the finals.
