Events

The Village of Rawson will host its "Rawson Proud" festival on Saturday, July 21, in its village park.

Events follow:
2 p.m. - crafts show, firemen games
3 p.m. - Hancock Sheriff K-9 unit
4 p.m. - Cory-Rawson show choir performance,
   Millstream Singers
6 p.m. - Parade - downtown, ending in village park
8 p.m. - LifeFlight landing in ball field
9 p.m. - Six-gun drawing

The festival includes several food vendors, bounce houses and kiddie train rides.

Visitors can choose to participate in unstructured and/or structured activities during the Richard S. “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center Open House on Saturday, July 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Oakwoods Nature Preserve. 

Activities and attractions include bird watching via the Windows on Wildlife, mounted animals and live animals on display, nature videos, field guides and nature books for reading, touch table and puppets, and seasonal displays and exhibits.

From Ada Icon - For the fourth year, the local community will celebrate the 4th of July with a free Patriotic Pops Concert by the Lima Symphony Orchestra beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday in Ada.

Kirsten Osbun-Manley will once again be featured soloist and, for the first time, the Noteworthy Community Choir of Ada will perform.

It will now launch the football season - lots of new events planned

Ada’s now-famous football drop is moving, but all the fun from the event continues.

Previously held on Super Bowl Eve, this year’s Made in Ada Football Festival moves to Saturday, Aug. 25, in downtown Ada, according to Ada Area Chamber of Commerce.

The festival celebrates Ada’s remarkable contribution to the sport of football, as all footballs used in the National Football League are made in the Ada Wilson’s factory.

New weekend feature only on the Bluffton Icon

12 confirmed at The Centre on June 26

The next "Foodie Tuesday" is June 26 at The Centre, according to Stacy Stumbaugh.

It's a food truck event held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Centre, 601 N. Main St.

On the 26th, all who attend may chose dinners from the following food trucks:
