This is part of the Icon’s features on events taking place in Bluffton during the month of June.

The 49th Bluffton Festival of Wheels cruise-in, sponsored by the Bluffton Lions  hits Main Street  on Friday, June 17.

The event is open to antique cars, classic cars, trucks, tractors, golf carts, fire engines, motorcycles and Cushmans.

This year’s show opens for parking at 2 p.m. and registration for vehicles is from 2 to 5 p.m., rain or shine.

Bluffton Senior Citizens will hold its June meeting at 6 p.m., Monday, June 13, at the Senior Center, 132 N. Main St.

The program is by Lynn LaRue, a new member of the Association, who will entertain members on the harmonica.

The meal is catered by the St. John's United Church of Christ. Tickets are $8.50 each and must be purchased by June 8 at the center.

the 10th annual County Line Church of the Brethren car show is from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 9, at the church, 4227 N. Hardin Road, Harrod.

In addition to the car show there is a chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brabecue tickets are $8 each and must be ordered in advance by calling 419-649-5364.

What's up in Bluffton in June? Here's part of our continuing series of June events happening in Bluffton.

The Bluffton Hospital Auxiliary is hosting a Fairy Princess Party on Saturday, June 4 at the Bluffton Middle School Cafetorium from 10 a.m. to noon.

The event will include a finger food buffet, face painting, nail art, hair styling, crafts, photos with princesses and door prizes. Costumes are encouraged.

Spectrum Salon will hold a cut-a-thon Saturday, June 18, according to Mandy Kinn, owner.

The event is at the salon, 442 N. Main St., Bluffton. It takes place from 9 a.m. to noon. All proceeds go to the Women's Good Samaritan Group, Bluffton.

Vancrest of Ada will host a community open house from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, May 22, according to Mark A. White, president of Vancrest Management Corp.

The $6 million Vancrest of Ada nursing home includes 56,000-square-foot. When full, it will have 50 beds for skilled nursing care and 32 assisted living units within the main facility. Rehab services will be available when it opens. Vancrest of Ada will employ 75 to 85 people.

The facility is located West North Avenue (State Route 81), across from Ada schools.
