Maple Crest holds its on "Antique Roadshow"

Deer Creek Shoppes along with Anne Stratton held an antique appraisal night at Maple Crest Senior Living Village on Thursday, April 14.

There were 15 items appraised that evening ranging from a flow blue lamp, and other ceramics, to quilts, silver, pictures, toys and textiles.

Some of the items were very unique, including:

* a Bavarian cut glass ruby red vase,
* an old pottery piggy bank,
* a World War I Military outfit,
* a five-claw Japanese garden seat, and a feather stuffed quilt that was hand stitched and pieced circa 1870-1890.

Next Drive Time Driving Instruction class starts May 1

Bluffton Icon advertiser Drive Time Driving Instruction, with offices in Bluffton and Findlay, has a Bluffton class beginning May 1.

Drive Time Driving Instruction offers 24 hours of required classroom instruction, six sessions scheduled with your input, 8 hours of behind-the-wheel training, carefully chosen, highly-qualified instructors with classes in Bluffton and Findlay.

Drive Time's Bluffton office is at 505 E. Jefferson St. It will offer a new classroom in May.

"Rio" premiers in 2-D and 3-D at Shannon Theatre April 22-28

Shannon Theatre's showing of the movie "Rio," rated G, has several special show times and features, according to Pete Suter.

The film will premiering April 22 to April 28. It will be shown in 2-D and 3-D.

2-D showing times:
Every evening at 7 p.m. with Friday and Saturday matinees at 1:30 p.m.

3D showing times:
Every evening at 9:30 p.m. with Friday and Saturday matinees at 4 p.m. All 3-D tickets are $6.
