Here's a Bluffton Main Street house in the winter. Will Triplett is the photographer. It appears that he was either standing on a ladder or had his camera on a ladder to take this photo. The photo looks so familiar that with a little thought we could figure out the address.

Here's what we know about this photo, taken by Will A. Triplett around 1900. There is a W.A. Morrison livery and feed stable sign in background. One horse's head is blurry as it probably moved during the picture.

Can you identify this house? The photo was taken by Will Triplett around 1900. He didn't write the location of the house in his notes.

If you can imagine the difficulties faced in 2010 to remove heavy snow from village streets and sidewalks, imagine the task in 1900. This was a "school closed" day in Bluffton.

This could be your great-grandfather. Sorry to say, the young man from Bluffton is unidentified. Will Triplett took the portrait around 1900. The more you study the photo, the more things jump out at you. Check out our model's left hand, for example. Is that a pocket watch chain near his right hand?
