Several area newspapers sold to CherryRoad Media

The Ada Herald has announced that it is one of eight community newspapers that has been sold by Delphos Herald Inc. to CherryRoad Media, a subsidiary of the New Jersey-based CherryRoad Technologies. 

The sale also includes the Delphos Herald, Van Wert Times Bulletin, the Putnam County Sentinel, the Paulding Progress and the Putnam County Vidette, as well as the associated printing facility.

Celebration of Life for Deborah Herr, September 23

A Celebration of Life for Deborah “Debb” Herr who passed away August 10, 2023 will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. 

Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Mildred Lugibihl was a farm wife

Mildred “Millie” (Schutz) Lugibihl, 88, died on September 10, 2023 at Willow Ridge-Betty House, Bluffton.  She was born in Putnam County on March 27, 1935, to Albert and Irene (Cherry) Schutz.  She lived nearly all her life on the family farm.

Bluffton school board agenda for September 18

The Bluffton School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 18 in the Elementary School Media Center, 102 S. Jackson St.

The agenda includes contracts, assignment, resignation, & etc. items:

  • Resignation of Debra Sprunger
  • Classified contract with Sharlene Anderson as an educational aide
  • 18 substitute teacher agreements
  • Supplemental contracts for positions assisting the High School Student Senate and Boys Soccer team

A report from the Apollo Career Center is also on the agenda.

Four-legged associate at BVHS

Blanchard Valley Health System is a diverse environment, where associates come from varied backgrounds. Recently, a four-legged associate named Pace joined the team in order to relieve the stress within the health system. 

Pace is a golden retriever/goldendoodle mix who will turn four later this fall. She is a facility dog and the working partner of Michael Cifranic, MSN, RN, a nursing recruitment and retention specialist.
