Mustard Seed Cafe dinner features for St. Patrick's Day weekend

 

May Your Glass Be Ever Full.

Mustard Seed Café, 562 N. Main St. in Bluffton, will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all weekend. Come share a pint: beer features include Guinness Stout, Harp Lager and Black & Tans.

The café will offer Irish dinner features on Friday and Saturday, March 14 and 15 (5-8 p.m.) in addition to the regular menu. House Irish soda bread will be served all weekend.

Findlay Kiwanis “Original” Pancake Day, March 15

 

The Kiwanis Club of Findlay will host The “Original” Pancake Day, featuring all you can eat buttermilk pancakes and locally processed sausage, on Saturday, March 15 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Findlay High School Cafeteria, 1200 Broad Avenue.

Lions selling shopping spree tickets

The Bluffton Lions Club will begin to sell “Shopping Spree” tickets at the Bluffton Community Market and at other locations in Bluffton starting on March 28th.

Drawing for the 90-second spree will be held on April 29th. Proceeds from this project goes to the Bluffton Lions Scholarship Fund.

Pair of university softball players HCAC Players of the Week

A pair of Bluffton University softball players were honored for their work on the diamond in Florida over the past week. Juniors Jess Kuzara (Flat Rock, Mich./Huron) and Chloe Shell (Covington) led the Beavers to an 8-2 mark at the Gene Cusic Classic and were named HCAC Hitter of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.

Robert Amstutz was a graduate of Beaverdam High School

 

Robert A. Amstutz, 76, of Beaverdam, died at 4:20 p.m. March 9, 2014. at Bluffton Hospital. He was born Oct. 6, 1937, in Bluffton, to the late Jess and Mary Burkholder Amstutz. On June 30, 1957, he married Peggy A. Lewis and she preceded him in death on July 29, 2013.

Mr. Amstutz retired from Ex-Cell-O/Airfoil-Textron, Bluffton. He was a member of St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora, and a member of the Gideons, where he was active in their jail ministry. He was also active with Transport for Christ. He was a graduate of Beaverdam High School.

Bluffton PTO: Dedicated to the betterment of Bluffton elementary and the entire community

The Bluffton Elementary PTO is an organization dedicated to the betterment of the Bluffton elementary school and the entire school community. 

Melissa Knauss, president of the Bluffton PTO, shared about the PTO in an interview earlier this winter.
