Read about their plans as the "commence" into the world

It's the community of Bluffton's oldest annual tradition - Blufton High School commencement. This year was the 137th annual "beginning," for students with last names of A to W.

The Icon provides viewers with photos of commmencement, taken by Jamie Nygaard, plus a list of the grads with their future plans.

Those plans range from enrolling in Bluffton University, Ohio State University, Texas A&M, Purdue, LeTourneau University and more.

One graduate is heading to the U.S. Army, some have already found positions in the workforce, and others are undecided.

More than 100 women of Maple Crest and their guests enjoyed beverages and dessert at the annual Ladies’ Tea on Thursday, May 17.  Held in the Maple Crest patio room, the Tea marks the arrival of spring and warmer weather.

According to Debbie Mohr, activities coordinator, singer Lauren Brooke provided the entertainment with several folk songs and Irish Celtic pieces, and seven volunteers served the guests.  Main decorators were volunteers Janette Reineke, Sandy Schroll and Marilyn Shelly.
