Her latest centers around the fictional town of "Shannon" - does it sound familiar?

Bluffton residents know her as Lucinda Stratton Guthrie. She writes mystery books under the pen name Bluette Matthey.

Today she lives in Béziers in the south of France with her husband and, as she puts it, two demanding cats. (As an additional Bluffton connection, her brother is Rodney Stratton.)

The former Blufftonite and BHS grad says she grew up reading mysteries and being frightened to death as a child watching Alfred Hitchcock on Friday nights. The result: “Two Murders Too Many,” Bluette’s latest mystery.

Previously, White performed in UF's production of Newsies, Cabaret and End of the World Improv Showcase.

While a student at Cory-Rawson he was in the cast of Annie Get Your Gun, Thoroughly Modern Milly and Seussical.

Presentation delayed due to covid-19 • Core wore many hats in Bluffton

Larry Core, former Bluffton village administrator, is the 2019 Bluffton Lions Club Citizen of the Year.

And, in this usual year of covid-19, he received his award delayed. Don Hostetler presented Core with the award last week.

Core, a life-long Bluffton resident and Bluffton High School graduate, has served in several community project and organizations, both behind the scene and as a major player.

Perhaps his greatest village accomplishment was his untiring devotion to bringing DTR (today SumiRiko Ohio) to the village.
