Stratton Greenhouses getting ready to order flowers for Bluffton's Main Street

When you think of Main Street Bluffton in the spring and summer do petunias come to mind? While it’s February, it’s time to stop what you are doing and think about smelling the flowers.

According to Susie and Steve Stratton of Stratton Greenhouses, "This will be the seventh year for providing the potted plants on Main Street. We appreciate providing this service to the community and are grateful for all the sponsors and contributors. We have received countless comments about how the plants make the downtown more attractive.

Food pantrys topic of March 5 Lions meeting

Jamie Crawfis, co-director of the Bluffton Community Assistance food pantry, and Gary Bright, CEO of West Ohio Food Bank, are the guest speakers at the noon, Tuesday, March 5, Bluffton Lions Club meeting. The meeting is in the Patio Room of Maple Crest.

Bluffton Lions offering raffle tickets for a "90-second" shopping spree at Community Market

Bluffton Lions want to give you a 90-second shopping spree at the Community Market on March 22. All you need to do is purchase a ticket to be part of the raffle to chose the lucky shopper. Tickets are $5 each.

Lions Club members will be at Community Market on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, beginning March 5  to sell tickets until the March 22 drawing.

Proceeds from the Shopping Spree support the Lions newly established scholarship fund. The club is offering two $500 scholarships to 2013 graduating seniors in area schools.

BHS class of 1970s "girls" meet March 7

The "Class of '70 girls" (Bluffton High School graduating class of 1970) will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 7, at Luke's Bar and Grill, according to Jane Schmidt McCullough, of the class.

Richland Manor receives excellence family satisfaction scores

 

Richland Manor has received high marks from family members in customer satisfaction, as recently measured by the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA). The health campus scored an impressive 91.38 percent in overall family satisfaction, with the statewide average being 85.6 percent.
