From a former U.S. president to legends of Latin music to the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500-mile auto race to the garden of love, the 2011 commemorative stamp program has something for everyone.

The U.S. Postal Service this week officially unveiled the images of its commemorative stamp program. Among this year's honorees are former President Ronald Reagan, legendary author Mark Twain, award-winning actor and actress Gregory Peck and Helen Hayes, and Latin music giants Selena, Carlos Gardel, Carmen Miranda, Tito Puente and Celia Cruz.

Don't forget! Toy Story 3 is the feature of a Saturday, Jan. 8, family movie night sponsored by the Bluffton Community Preschool.The event will be held in the Bluffton Middle School cafetorium. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is by donation. Popcorn and drinks will be available for sale during the movie. All proceeds benefit the Bluffton Community Preschool.

Maps showing districts in the Ohio Senate, House and the U.S. Congressional districts as they will stand for 2011-12 are now available from The Icon.

Several activities are planned in January at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, according to Tonya Meyer, director.

The January dinner meeting is at noon, Monday, Jan. 10. Don Wymer is the master of ceremonies. Elaine Rich will present school days poetry.

The Bluffton Hospital Auxiliary is in the process of collecting items for its upcoming auction fund-raiser, according to Diane Stratton.

"We are now collecting items for the auction. We need your support. Please bring new or nearly new items in and drop them off at the administration office of the hospital," she said.
