BHS girl powerlifters haver 4 first places at Kenton Ridge meet

Bluffton High School girls' powerlifting team finished third at a Jan. 23 meet at Kenton Ridge, according to Kelly Prichard, coach. Several boys also completed, but did not have enough members for a team. Boys' results at the bottom.

Girls' bball: Pirates move to 11-4 after win

Bluffton High School's girls' basketball team defeated Spencerville on Jan. 21 51-41. The win gives the Pirates an 11-4 overall mark and 4-1 in the Northwest Conference.

Bluffton Soccer Club online registration deadline Saturday

Bluffton Soccer Club spring registration winds down this week as the online registration deadline is Saturday, Jan. 16, according to Ron Koontz of the club.

Bluffton Diamond Sports thinking "spring;" softball and baseball registration coming soon

It’s January, but Bluffton Diamond Sports is already thinking about spring.
 
Diamond Sports announces 2016 baseball and softball team sign-up dates several times in January. Forms required for registration are attached to the bottom of this story.
 
Registration dates and times follow:
• Thursday, Jan. 21 – 6-8 p.m., high school gym entrance
• Friday, Jan. 29 – 6-8 p.m., high school gym entrance
• Saturday, Jan. 30 – 4:30-7 p.m., middle school cafetorium*

Zac Dysert, Ada HS and Miami star now playing for Buffalo Bills

He played against Bluffton High School on Harmon Field. Then he went to Miami (Ohio), and was eventually drafted by Denver.

He's Ada High School athlete Zac Dysert and he is playing football again.

In late December the Buffalo Bills of the American Football Conference signed Ada’s Zac Dysert to its practice squad.

Basketball: BHS doubles scores on Lincolnview

Bluffton High School girls' doubled the score on Lincolnview, beating them 73-35 behind Alivia Koenig's 20 points and Andie Schmutz 19 points.  Saturday the Lady Pirates will travel to Waynesfield-Goshen.
