Here's Bluffton's undefeated U-10 soccer team

The Bluffton Stars U-10 soccer team was undefeated this season and took 1st place at the Riverdale Spring Classic.

Hannah Chappell-Dick qualifies for NCAA national meet

Bluffton High School girls' track standout Hannah Chappell-Dick, a runner at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va., officially qualifies for the NCAA National Track & Field Championships in the 800 meter.

Her time of 2:11.89 has her 10th in the nation. The national meet is Thursday through Saturday, May 22-24, at Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, Ohio.

Crossing the Little Riley Creek golf scramble on May 24

The Blanchard River Watershed Partnership will sponsor a "Crossing the Little Riley Creek" golf scramble at the Bluffton Golf Club Saturday, May 24, with a 9 a.m. start time.

The four-person scramble offers various prizes plus a 50/50 drawing.

Entry is $60 per person and includes 18 hopes of golf, a cart and food coupons.

Gable on All-Ohio Athletic Conference academic team

Ashlin Gable, a nursing major and student-athlete at Capital University from Bluffton, Ohio, was named 2014 Spring Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference as the league announced its honorees on Tuesday, May 13.

Follow NWC track meet results on the Icon

The Northwest Conference track meet takes place Thursday and Saturday, May 15 and 17 at Spencerville High School. 

On Thursday, the field events will begin at 4:45 p.m. with running events start at 5 p.m.  Saturday field events start at 10:30 a.m. and running finals at 12:30 p.m.

Results will be posted on Baum's page as soon as possible following the meet events on Thursday and Saturday.

Baseball: Bluffton beats Allen East in tourney opener

Bluffton High School's baseball team defeated Allen East 3-0 in the opening sectional tournament game on May 10. The Pirates face Ottawa-Glandorf on the road on Thursday, May 15.
