Pirate softball loses to Ada

The visiting Ada High School softball team beat local rival Bluffton 6-2 in a Northwest Conference contest Thursday evening, April 13.

The Pirate girls fell to 5-6 overall and 1-1 in the NWC with the loss.

The Ada girls record improved to 10-1 overall after the win. The Bulldogs are in first place in the NWC at 3-0 with the convincing victory, tied with perennial power Crestview.

Pirates host Track & Field tri-meet

The Bluffton High School track and field team hosted a triangular meet with Ada and Riverdale Tuesday, April 11.

Bluffton freshman Aubrey Burkholder swept the girls 100 and 300-meter hurdle events. Brianna Tabler cleared the pole vault in first.

Pirate junior Luke Donaldson won the boys 400-meter run. Noah Bricker finished first in the high jump.

Pirate baseball blanks Wildcats

The visiting Bluffton High School baseball team shut out Delphos Jefferson 3-0 to win their Northwest Conference opener Monday evening, April 10.

Bluffton improved to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in the NWC with the win. The Wildcats fell to 1-7 overall and 1-1 in league play after the defeat.

The Pirates host McComb (3-4) Tuesday and visit Ottoville (0-5) Wednesday.

Pirate softball wins NWC opener at Jefferson

DELPHOS–The visiting Bluffton High School softball team won its Northwest Conference opener 5-4 in eight innings at Delphos Jefferson Monday evening, April 10.

The Pirates improved to 5-4 overall and 1-0 in the NWC with the win. DJ dropped to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the NWC after the loss.

Pirates host Fostoria on April 11

The Bluffton High School boys tennis team lost at Van Wert 3-2 Monday evening.

The Pirate record fell to 2-3 with the loss. VW improved to 3-2 with the win.

Pirate softball splits Liberty-Benton doubleheader

FINDLAY–The visiting Bluffton High School softball team split a non-league doubleheader vs. Liberty-Benton Saturday afternoon, April 8.

The Pirates improved to 4-4 after the twinbill, while L-B ran its record to 3-5.

Bluffton won the opener, 11-5. The Eagles rebounded to take the nightcap, 13-2.
