Dr. James Davidson opens orthopaedics clinic at Bluffton Hospital

Ohio Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Findlay, announced this week that Dr. James Davidson is now accepting patients at Bluffton Hospital.

His special interests include sports-related injuries, upper extremities, carpal tunnel release and total joint repair. Dr. Davidson's Orthopaedic Clinic will be open each Monday morning at the Bluffton Hospital.

Another familiar face on the mural

The late John Badertscher is among the new faces on the Oscar Velasquez mural on Main Street. Badertscher was a life-long Bluffton resident and may be remembered best as a custodian at First Mennonite Church and Citizens National Bank.

Storm warning from AEP

AEP Ohio has provided the following storm warning information: The combination of an approaching cold front and a very warm, humid unstable air mass is triggering a line of severe thunderstorm to develop over Michigan. At 2pm EDT...radar indicated a line of rapidly developing severe thunderstorms from northwest of Detroit, to just
north of South Bend. This line of storms will move southeast this afternoon and impact northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. Wind gusts of 50-60 mph can be expected with the stronger thunderstorms.

Bob Painter shares trip photos at Senior Center August dinner meeting

Bob Painter will share photographs of the Bluffton Senior Citizens trip to Charleston and Savannah during the August Senior Citizens dinner meeting.

The meeting is at 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 9, at the center. Tickets are $7 and must be purchased by Wednesday, Aug. 4.

The meal is catered by Ted's Market of Pandora. The menu includes pulled pork, potato salad, mixed vegetables, applesauce, roll and cheese cake.

Philip Meeks, 90, will be awarded a life time membership at the meeting.

Several other events take place in August at the Center.

August community meals on 5th and 19th

The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association community meals continue in August at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. August's meals are Thursday, Aug. 5, catered by Ebenezer Mennonite Church, and Thursday, Aug. 19, catered by Emmanuel United Church of Christ.

The meals are free and open to the public and begin at 6 p.m. Donations are accepted. Those donations support the Bluffton Food Pantry.
