Wear your mask proudly

Hi, I'm Kay Lambert

Welcome to the Icon's feature "Wear your mask proudly." We invite viewers to send a photo of themselves wearing a mask. 

It's a way to encourage viewers to wear masks when in public and to recognize those who are thoughtful enough to take the time to wear one.

My awesome teacher - Mrs. Steinmetz

Emily Byers, Bluffton first grader, created this drawing of her teacher, Mrs. Steinmetz.

Teacher Appreciation Week was May 4-8. In cooperation with the Bluffton PTO, the Icon is posting drawings of elementary teachers created by elementary students.

Today's BHS seniors in the spotlight

Here's today's installment of the Bluffton High School Class of 2020 Senior Spotlight. Each weekday until the end of May the Icon will feature photos and future plans for four BHS seniors.  Students will be featured in a four-set random order.

Invitation to enter "My Favorite Year" contest

Identify locations of photos attached - winner receives a Padrone's Pizza

This week’s Icon contest took 147 years to put together. 

The Icon invites viewers to enter “My Favorite Year” contest. The winner will receive a 14-inch, 1-item Padrone’s Pizza. 

Here’s how to play:
• Between today and Thursday, May 21, the Icon will post 10 photo from Main Street Bluffton buildings that have years listed on them. The photos will be post by 7 a.m. each morning of the contest, on the following schedule:

Pandora UMC hosts free meal May 27

The Pandora United Methodist Church will be host a free community meal on Wednesday, May 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. The church is located at 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora. 

The meal is provided by Bob Steele Trucking.

The menu is Jonnie Marzetti, cole slaw, breadsticks, and a cookie. This is for carry-out only.

What season is it?

It's pretty obvious in Bluffton that it is graduation season. Lawn displays and posters are popping up throughout the school district. Here's Nephi Peralta's display on South Main Street.
