The Bluffton University women's basketball team welcomed #15 Transylvania University to Copeland Court on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020. The Beavers dropped a 67-47 decision to the Pioneers. Bluffton dipped to 8-3 (2-2 HCAC) while Transy improved to 10-1 (4-0 HCAC).

Several program of interest take place soon at Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Daniel Tinch, executive director.
A school break camp for youth ages 5 to 12 takes place on Monday, Jan. 20, Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The next school break camp is Monday, Feb. 17, Presidents’ Day.
BFR and Bluffton University women’s soccer team host a day camp for players U8 to high school on Monday, Jan. 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. Players will work to develop individual and team skills.

Gulf Coast Accounting moved from 141 N. Main St. to the rear of 103 N. Main St, following the purchase of the 103 N. Main St. building by Bill and Chris Gable of Lone Palm Real Estate, LLC.

BLUFFTON - Host Bluffton outscored Wapakoneta 24-17 in the second half to pull out a 51-46 non-league boys basketball win Tuesday evening.
Bluffton bounced back from its first loss last Saturday despite being down 29-27 at halftime. The Pirates took the lead with a 13-8 third period as Jared Piercefield scored eight key points.
Bluffton then won the fourth period 11-8 as senior Luke Denecker tallied eight points. The Pirates buried 11 three-point goals to pave the way to a hard-fought victory.
