Let's jitterbug!

The Bluffton High School Drama Club presents "Jitterbug Juliette," this weekend. Several of the cast members posed for this photo. From left, Mary Woodruff, Danielle Rhonemus, Liz Diller, David Yoder, Chase Wilson (standing), Kaite Rhodes, Jessica Liska (standing) and Ashton Cluts. Performances are Friday and Saturday, April 16-17 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 18, at 2 p.m. in the middle school cafetorium. Tickets are on sale in the middle school office.

Main Street probably prior to 1919

Here's another colorized post card of Bluffton's Main Street looking north. It would appear that the photo was taken from a hot air balloon, based on the angle. Actually, it was probably taken on a ladder from the roof of the Russell Hotel (if it was taken prior to 1919).

Obviously the automobiles date this photo, as does the interurban rails running on the center of the street. Not much else has changed except one thing: the steeple of the Presbyterian Church is no longer in existence.

Somewhere in Putnam County live A.M. and C.M. At least that's the way we figure this plate. We spotted it in front of the Shannon Theatre.

Send BHS class reunion information to The Icon

Is your Bluffton High School class holding a reunion this summer? The Icon would like to know the reunion details. Reunion planners are invited to provide the Icon with the date, time and location of any summer reunions. The Icon is also interested in publishing class photos and a 2010 reunion photo of these classes.
